There is a proven link between regular attendance and achievement. This is why we remind the students constantly of the importance of regular attendance and punctuality. All students are set a challenging target of 97% attendance. Parents are informed on a termly basis through our 'Callio' programme of their child's attendance.

We also keep a watchful eye on attendance and try to communicate early with parents or guardians in the event of patterns of non-attendance.

Punctuality

Pupils must arrive promptly at all lessons. They should also arrive at Registration by 8:25am prompt. In the event of a bus arriving late, the pupils must sign the late book at the main reception.

Absence

Parents or guardians are asked to contact the school by phone or email before 9.30am on the day of absence explaining why the student is absent from school. Failure to notify the school will result in an unauthorized absence being recorded in the register. If there are any issues concerning absences please contact Ms Monique Thomas in the school office or Mrs Sharon Risby (Education Welfare Officer) to discuss your concerns.

Transport

The District Education Office, make transport arrangements. Ms Ruth Evans (School Transport Officer) Telephone Number: (01443) 864863.
