Llwyddiant i beirianwyr Bl 10 / Success for Year 10 engineers

Llwyddodd 14 o ddisgyblion o flwyddyn 10 i ennill gwobrau 1af, cydradd 2ail a chydradd 3ydd yng nghystadleuaeth peirianneg ardal Caerffili ar y 19eg ar 20fed o Ebrill 2005. Cynhaliwyd y gystadleuaeth gan y Partneriaeth Addysg Busnes (EBP) Caerffili yn Ysgol Lewis Pengam. Cystadleuaeth a oedd yn cynnwys cyfres o dasgau peirianneg o dan ofal mentoriaid o fusnesau lleol gan gynnwys aelodau o'r fyddin oedd hon. Prif bwrpas y gystadleuaeth oedd hybu peirianneg fel gyrfa.
Wrth ddatgan y canlyniadau dywedodd y trefnydd fod y tîm buddugol wedi ennill sgôr perffaith ymhob gweithgaredd, y tro cyntaf i hwn ddigwydd yn hanes y gystadleuaeth.
Llongyfarchiadau mawr i'r enillwyr a phob aelod o'r tîm.

Fourteen Year 10 pupils won first, joint second and joint third prizes in an inter-schools engineering challenge hosted by the Education and Business Partnership for the Caerphilly area. The event was held at Lewis School Pengam. The challenge was a series of engineering tasks supervised by mentors from local businesses and including members of the Army Royal Engineers. The main aim of the competition was to promote engineering as a possible career.
During the final presentation, the organiser stated that the winning team had gained maximum marks in all tasks, a feat that has not been previously achieved in the history of the competition.
