Nature of the Task(s) Task 1:Essay - ‘Was Sir Douglas Haig responsible for the tragedy of the Somme , as many thought at the time’.
Following a number of lessons on the subject, pupils are expected to submit information on the subject and analize historical interpretations and the opinions of a variety of historians. Task 2: Essay – ‘The effect of the Second World War on the people of Wales and England –
Pupils expected to write on 4 areas – evacuation; the effect of the blitz; rationing and women.
Pupils requires to evaluate a variety of sources.

Task 1 Autumn ½ term yr 11 Christmas
Task 2 Over Christmas yr 11 Feb ½ term.
