Mae defnyddiau gwrthiannol yn ymwneud â dylunio cynnyrch a'i gynyrchu trwy ddefnyddio deunyddiau gwrthiannol megis pren, metel neu phlasteg.
Mae strwythur y cwrs yn galluogi pob disgybl i ddatblygu ei sgiliau dylunio a gwneud er mwyn creu gwaith o safon uchel. Trwy ddefnyddio'r systemau CAD a CAM sydd yn yr adran, caiff y disgyblion brofiadau a fydd yn ei helpu yn y byd diwydiannol.
Yn ystod y cwrs fe fydd rhaid i'r disgyblion greu prosiect yn ogystal ag eistedd arholiadaau allanol ar ddiwedd y cwrs.
The resistant materials option involves designing and making products from resistant materials which can include metals, plastics and wood.
The structure of the course allows each pupil to develop their designing and making skills in order to produce work of a high standard. By using the CAD CAM facilities that are available in the department, the pupils will have experiences of systems which are used in industry.
During the course, the pupils will have to produce a project as well as sitting external examinations at the end of the course.

- Pensiliau HB a phensiliau lliw
- Riwler 300mm a rwbwr meddal
- Offer gwaith geometreg
- Bwrdd ar gyfer gwaith dylunio.

- Llyfryn astudio Technoleg (ar gael am £3 trwy'r ysgol)
Every pupil who studies resistant materials should aquire the following items:
- An A3 size folder to carry work to and from school ( available for £3 at The Range shop, Npt Road, Cardiff)
- An HB pencil and colouring pencils
- A 300mm ruler and a soft eraser
- A geometry set
- A suitable drawing surface
- An Apron
- A dust mask
- A Technology study guide (available through the school for £3)
